A serial data download cable is shipped with every logger order. The cable is for downloading the data from your RBR logger to a PC. Cable Specifications

* contact RBR for delivery time on custom order cables. Note: there is a practical performance limit on the length of a cable used for RS-232 serial transmission. Typically, RS-485 transmission should be considered for cable lengths in excess of 50m at data rates of 19.2Kbaud and higher.

Batteries (shipped with logger)

RBR loggers come with one set of batteries. All current RBR loggers use a common camera battery: 2/3A 3V lithium. These batteries can be purchased virtually anywhere that film and camera equipment is sold.

Please see our technical note on battery capacity to calculate the recording life for your particular deployment scenario with the model of logger that you have or are interested in. You will also find a battery/memory usage calculator built in to the deployment settings window in the RBR Logger software; download the latest version and make use of the calculator with, or without, a logger connected to your computer!

NB: Due to unknowns such as battery shelf life, we do not guarantee our loggers ship with 'new' batteries (i.e., a full charge). Users are responsible for ensuring fresh batteries are used for each deployment.

Transit Cases

RBR now offers a range of rugged transit cases. These provide the best possible protection for our precision data recorders. Each case comes with foam inserts that may be cut to suit the instruments and accessories. They may be used for shipping and storage and ensure that the instruments are ready at all times for deployment.

Mooring Clamps

RBR makes mooring clamps for all the XR-series loggers, the TR-1050, DR-1050, and TDR-2050. The clamps are manufactured out of 25mm blue nylon and come with a M6 titanium bolt and nut. The mooring hole size may be specified by the customer.
