Submersible Temperature Recorder

The TR-1060 is an upgraded version of RBR's proven self-contained, submersible temperature recorder. While smaller than the TR-1050 and using less power, it retains equal or better performance. The TR-1060 is calibrated to an accuracy of ±0.002ºC (ITS-90 and NIST traceable standards). The standard thermistor has a time constant of less than 3 seconds. An optional fast thermistor (less than 0.095 seconds) is also available. The TR-1060 has a measurement range of -5ºC to +35ºC in its standard calibration. However, it can be calibrated from -40ºC to +50ºC. Contact RBR about your particular measurement range.

The TR-1060 data loggers use a Delrin® acetal polymer housing with a depth rating of 1200m. They can be deployed for up to three years using one high-power 3V lithium cell battery. The new mechanical design mitigates against condensation or risk of damage during battery replacement or data download. 8MB of storage provides sufficient memory for 2,400,000 samples, with data retention for 20 years.

Support kits which include replacement O-rings and silicone grease are available for the TR-1060. Under certain circumstances, desiccant might be needed. Internal condensation can result if the logger is closed up in a hotter and more humid environment than the deployment environment. Since condensation can cause the circuitry to malfunction in such circumstances, we advise you to install a small pack of desiccant prior to deployment .
