Model TR-1050
Submersible Temperature Recorder
The
TR-1050 is a small (230mm x
38mm OD), self-contained, submersible temperature recorder
with a calibration to
±0.002ºC.
Typical calibration drift of 0.002ºC
per year has been measured. It can be deployed for a period of up to three years and can collect more than
2,400,000
samples. Data are retained in memory for 20 years (even without
batteries).
TR-1050
clock accuracy of ±32 seconds per year.
The TR-1050 has a measurement range of -5ºC to +35ºC in its
standard calibration. It
can, however, be configured to measure wider ranges. The logger can be fitted with different thermistors to operate to
as low as
-40ºC or up to +50ºC
The TR-1050 may also be configured to measure a far higher range, if it is fitted with an external probe.
We have supplied an instruments to measure up to +300ºC. The
logger temperature then simply needs to remain under +50ºC. Contact
us about your desired measurement range.

Support kits are available for the TR-1050
which include replacement O-rings and silicon grease. Under certain
circumstances, desiccant should be installed inside logger before deployment. If the logger is closed up in a hotter, more
humid environment than the deployment environment and then plunged into cold water, internal condensation can result.
Since condensation may cause the circuitry to malfunction, it is advised in such circumstances that, after the logger is
set up and before it is closed for deployment, a small pack of desiccant be installed.
