Depth (Pressure) Logger DR-1060
RBR's small (~25mm diameter, 230mm long), self contained, submersible pressure logger (sonde, recorder) measures depth to a very high precision. The DR-1060 is also know as a BPR (Bottom Pressure Recorder). Pressure measurements are made with 24-bit resolution and calibrated to an accuracy of ±0.05% full scale using NIST traceable standards.
Each unit employs an absolute pressure gauge, with ranges selectable from 10 dBar (10 metres of water) to 1,200 dBar (1,200m) making the unit suitable for a wide range of applications from borehole testing and groundwater monitoring to deep ocean. For groundwater measurement, a barometric reference may be used to record the atmospheric pressure over the local area.
The depth sensor is calibrated to an accuracy of ± 0.05% of the full scale reading and is available in ranges up to 1200m. A high-sensitivity piezoresistive silicon chip is used for pressure sensing. The chip is protected against ambient influences by a Hastelloy C-276 housing sealed with a concentrically corrugated diaphragm. The housing is filled with silicone oil for the transfer of the pressure from the diaphragm to the sensing component.
